Alice woke earlier than usual and the house sat still and quiet. She tiptoed down the stairs and opened the back door just wide enough to slip through. Outside, the world was alive. Birds chirped, the sun glowed and flowers swayed on the morning breeze. She began her walk wondering why it is we spend so much time indoors when the outdoors is far more captivating. "I will live outdoors one day like you!" she said to the Oak. "That is why you grow so tall..."
