With winter here, it is time for a cutter for cookies that hang on the edge of cups and mugs! Several months ago, Callye of Sweet Sugar Belle suggested an excellent idea - to make long, thin cutters to cut notches out of cookie dough in order to hang the cookies on the edge of cups and mugs. I worked with her and Lisa The Bearfoot Baker on the size/angle needed and then I designed it to be a 2 sided cutter for 3/8" or 1/2" cutouts. You just choose the size that you need for the thickness of the wall of your cup or mug, flip to the side that you need, cut out your notch and bake up your cookies! Lisa The Bearfoot Baker has kindly provided a photo from a upcoming tutorial that she is doing on this very idea using our cutter. The second cutter in our set comes from the brilliant and always creative mind of Mike of SemiSweet who came up with his design for a handle that has cookies that hang on the front of a mug. Great clay molding material which is re-usable, so you can keep using it for different mold shapes.

Perfect if you need to make lots of clay molds but only need to use each to create few copies. Picks up detail surprisingly well.

Dip a piece of the Oyumaru in hot water (approx: 80 degree C) for about 3 to 5 minutes. Take the Oyumaru out of the water with a pair of tongs and wipe it dry with a towel. While it is still soft, press the material you wish to mold into the Oyumaru.

If the Oyumaru gets hard while you are working with it, place it back in the water and begin the process again.

Allow Oyumaru to cool down, remove your object and your mold is ready for your clay project. Oyumaru is re-usable.

Note: by the way, if you do not need this material anymore, you can make various 1:12 miniature items with this material

My friend, Aime of The Painted Pastry, truly comes up with the cutest cutter design ideas and I am loving her adorable witch design that also can be used as a gnome! I am just loving this whimsical bat cutter designed by Jenn of The Bluebonnet Bake Shoppe with its fun body shape and asymmetrical wings giving him such fun personality! I started playing with her cutter shape and found that it had more design possibilites as Halloween or Christmas candy and as a whimsical skull. I showed it to our friend, Maryann The Cookie Artisan and she suggested making a spider. The girl spider came to be (complete with heels as in my world, a girl spider does indeed wear heels) and then Maryann suggested a boy spider with a bowtie. Jenn then helped out suggesting a top hat. With a bit of sketching, ta da! A boy spider with a bowtie and top hat from the minds of three cookie decorators working together bouncing ideas off of one another . The song “Let’s Go Fly a Kite” kept happily playing through my mind as I designed this cutter after a request for a kite from my friend, Vicki of Sweet Tweets. I have had a kite in mind, wanting to play around with incorporating the string as I did on my balloon to help prevent cookie breakage. Whimsical Kite comes in five sizes. Please choose from above under "Size" for sizing variations.

I am including a Guideline Sketch should anyone wish to use it as as guide. You will find it under the photos of the cutter. To save it, click on the photo, right click to either "Save Image" or "Copy Image". From there paste into Word or whichever program you like. You can then resize it from there as needed and place it on a KopyKake or place it next to your cookie to refer to while you pipe.

Whisked Away Cutters are finely crafted cutters for cookies and fondant, designed by a cookie decorator for cookie decorators. Crafted with rounded corners on the handle for comfort, a reinforced area near the base of the handle and strong walls going down to a fine tapered edge for a precise, clean cut. ** Food safe PLA cutters are HAND WASH ONLY, not dishwasher safe, cannot be used to cut hot and should not be left to soak in hot water. This is an aspect of all food safe PLA cutters. Care must be given to the specialized tapered cutting edge when storing as it can get nicked or damaged if hit with another cutter or sharp object. Proper care will ensure years of use from your Whisked Away Cutters.

Cutter prices are determined by print time and the amount of PLA used. Cutters with intricate shapes and curves or larger sizes take longer to print and are priced accordingly.

FPC Sugarcraft is a family run business producing sugarcraft moulds, based in Bristol, UK. The majority of our designs are hand sculpted by us in wax relief, with a few designs derived from found items, so hopefully you will not find our designs anywhere else - beware of imitations!

We are pleased to offer you our range of unique high quality silicone moulds, for cupcake and celebration cake decorations and many kinds of craft projects. All of our moulds are designed and manufactured in-house from soft, flexible platinum-cured silicone, ideally suited for moulding sugarpaste decorations.

Other foodstuffs and other modelling materials may be used in our moulds, including wax, soap, Fimo/Sculpey and PMC. The silicone material can withstand relatively high temperatures for short periods (up to 250ºC/480ºF) and possesses inherently good release properties, making demoulding trouble free.

An indication of the product size in shown in all of our product images. The background grid shows squares 1cm x 1cm (approximately 0.4in x 0.4in). Please note that whilst every care is taken to ensure the accuracy of scale in these images, all dimensions should be considered for guidance only.
