When I showed my friend, Callye, my Scarecrow Cutter design, she told me that I needed to do the scarecrow with the just the hat as a cutter as well saying it was a great all-purpose cutter. Okay, she certainly knows what she is talking about, so I did. Then I showed it to my friend, Maryann The Cookie Artisan and as you can see, she went a little wild with ideas. Perfect if you need to make lots of clay molds but only need to use each to create few copies. Picks up detail surprisingly well.

Dip a piece of the Oyumaru in hot water (approx: 80 degree C) for about 3 to 5 minutes. Take the Oyumaru out of the water with a pair of tongs and wipe it dry with a towel. While it is still soft, press the material you wish to mold into the Oyumaru.

If the Oyumaru gets hard while you are working with it, place it back in the water and begin the process again.

Allow Oyumaru to cool down, remove your object and your mold is ready for your clay project. Oyumaru is re-usable.

Note: by the way, if you do not need this material anymore, you can make various 1:12 miniature items with this material
